Club Records and PB’s at the Thanet Regional Qualifier
On Sunday 8th April 8 swimmers from Faversham Swimming Club attended the Thanet Regional Qualifier at Kingsmead Leisure Centre in Canterbury. It was a long day for many of the swimmers but they all swam well and showed great team spirit and determination as always.
There were outstanding swims from Isabella Holt in the Girls 12 years 400m and 200m Freestyle, where she gained a PB and a club record. Emily Holt also had two fantastic swims, earning herself Club Records in the Girls 16 years 50m Butterfly and 200m Freestyle with a first place medal in the Butterfly.
There was another club record smashed and a silver medal earned by Max Fordyce in the Boys 13 years 200m Breastroke. Molly Fletcher-Hebden continued her great swimming with a PB in the Girls 15 years 50m Freestyle.
Nathan Williams swum to victory, winning two gold medals in the Boys 15 years 50m Breaststroke and 100m Breaststroke with a PB in the later race.
There were PB’s and medals achieved by Eva McIntyre, Neve Smith and Molly Fordyce, who all had great swims.
As always the coaches were very proud of all of the swimmers, not only for their fantastic swims but also for the way they support each other at all times.
