Faversham took a very competitive team of 18 swimmers to the Dover Whitecliffs gala on the 15th/16th September. Each swimmer represented their club with determination and pride and the coaches were very proud of all of them.
Oliver Edwards swam his way to a Kent Auto Time in the boys 13/14 years 50m Backstroke with a time of 32.20 and a 2nd position. There were Kent Consideration Times for Oliver in the 100m Breaststroke, Molly Fletcher-Hebden in the Girls 13/14 years 50m Freestyle, Molly Fordyce in the Girls 9/10 years 50m Breaststroke, Isabella Holt in the Girls 11/12 years 100m Freestyle and Emily Holt in the Girls 15/16 years 50m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle.
Cameron Bullard, Ethan Sharman, Harry Miles, Havva Ibrahim, Jessica Perkins, Lewis Edwards and Mazie Kilgannon all had fantastic swims and PB’d in every race that they took part in. For Harry, Mazie, Lewis and Jessica it was their first medal position in an Open Competition. A massive well done to them all.
It was the very first Open competition for Zeno Burns and he earned himself a PB in the 9/10 years 50m Freestyle. The coaches were all very proud of him.
Philip Rafeletos had a busy weekend, taking part in a massive 9 different events and earning himself four PBs and a 5th place in the boys 11/12 years Breaststroke with a time of 4:13.23. There were two second place swims for Mia Kirk in the Girls 15/16 years 50m Butterfly and the 100m Freestyle.
Luke Butterfill, Max Fordyce and Amber Gavin also had fantastic swims with a number of PB swims and medals earned between them.
It was a fantastic weekend of great swims and Head Coach Paul Holt said, “Thank you very much to all of the coaches and a huge well done to all the swimmers, this is just the start!!”
