Last weekend saw a fantastic group of Faversham swimmers compete at the Bromley SC Autumn Gold Open. They were up and out very early in the morning for what was a very successful and enjoyable competition.
There were PB’s, a club record, several medals, an improved Kent Consideration and lots of loud cheering and happy swimmers and coaches throughout the event.
Phillip Rafeletos swam in an impressive 6 different events and managed to earn himself a PB in the Boys 11 years 50m Butterfly with a time of 58.41.
There were celebrations for the Holts as Isabella swum into a first place position in the Girls 12 years 100m IM and Emily earnt the same first place in the Girls 15 years 200m Backstroke. A huge congratulations to both girls.
There were also great swims from the Edwards, with Lewis swimming a time of 47.1 in the Boys 10 years Freestyle and Oliver earning a first place and an improved Kent Consideration Time in the Boys 14 years 50m Breaststroke. Great achievements boys!
The Fordyce children were also on form, with Molly earning a PB in the Girls 10 years Butterfly and Max a Club Record in the Boys 13 years 200m Breaststroke. Fantastic swims both.
Eva McIntyre had four great swims, earning herself a 1st in the Girls 15+ years 100m IM with a time of 1.15.17, two 5ths in the Girls 50m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly and a 7th in the 50m Freestyle.
Finally Havva Ibrahim also had a great couple of swims with a time of 52.62 in the Girls 11 years 50m Backstroke and 47.98 in the 50m Butterfly.
Overall the children represented their squad with pride and determination and the coaches were very proud of each and every swimmer.
