Kent Development Meet
“Another strong performance from the team” said head coach Paul Holt of the team of Faversham swimmers that attended the Kent Development Gala at Medway Park on Saturday and Sunday the 27th and 28th October 2018.
It was a very successful weekend, with particular congratulations to Leena and Nancy as it was the first Open competition that they had both competed in and both achieved PBs in all of their races.
There were four Kent Consideration Times achieved, one by Isabella Holt in the Girls 12 years 200m Backstroke, two for Molly Fordyce in the Girls 10 years 50m Freestyle and 200m Freestyle and one for Oliver Edwards in the Boys 14years 200m Freestyle.
There was a 3rd place medal and 3 PBs for Harry Miles in the Boys 12 years 200m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle. Luke Butterfill swam his way to two PBs in the Boys 12 years 50m Butterfly and the 100m Freestyle.
Eva Wade swam in four different events and managed to PB in all of them with strong swims. There was a 5th place medal for Oscar Williams in the Boys 12 years 100m Backstroke and a PB for Mazie Kilgannon in the Girls 11 years 50m Freestyle.
There were PBs for Havva Ibrahim, Lewis Edwards, Ethan Sharman and Cameron Bullard.
As always, the coaches that were poolside throughout the event were very proud of all of the competitors and the team spirit and skill that they showed on both days.
The squad are looking forward to another busy weekend of competitions next week.
